  • How do I pay for parking?

    Paying for parking is simple with the SurfCast app. Download the app on your phone or scan the QR Code on the sign located in the parking lot. Create an account using your email or phone number and create a password. For more step-by-step instructions, click the button below.

  • How do I download an app?

    To download the Surfcast by Otto app on your mobile device, follow these simple steps:

    1. For Apple devices such as iPhones or iPads, navigate to the Apple App Store. For Android devices, access the Google Play Store.

    2. In the search bar, type "Surfcast by Otto" and locate the app.

    3. Select "Install" to initiate the download process.

  • I am resident of a town with SurfCast. How do I validate my residency?

    At this time, North Topsail Beach and Oak Island are the only towns with Residency parking. To validate your residency, you will need to create an account with the SurfCast App or Webpage and click the “Resident Setup” button. Be prepared to give your water bill account number as your authorization code. If you do not have an a water bill account number you will need to contact the HOA or Management for the code specific to your property. If you receive an error code, submit a request to Customer Service with your name, email, address, and water bill account number.

  • How do I pay my violation?

    To settle your violation, scan the QR Code on your citation, follow the prompts, and download the app. Then, proceed to the "violation payment" section or use the button provided below.

    For assistance, contact our SurfCast line at (910) 200-1497 during our business hours, from 9 am to 5 pm EST.

    Please note that voicemails left after business hours will be addressed promptly the following day. However, fines may be subject to an increase if permitted by the citation.

  • I misspelled my license plate.

    If you misspelled your license plate number and have not received a violation yet, call us on the SurfCast line between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm EST for immediate assistance.

    If you misspelled your license plate number and have received a violation, contact us by clicking the button below. Be sure to include your license plate number, the misspelled plate number, the citation number, and the email address or phone number used to pay for parking.

  • I would like to dispute a violation.

    If a vehicle is parked in SurfCast parking zone without proper payment, the vehicle is subject to a violation.

    If a vehicle is parked illegally according to town regulations, the vehicle is subject to a violation.

  • What is a Fast Pass?

    A Fast Pass is a way to pay for parking without creating an account. You will still need to use your email or phone number to associate with the transaction. Fast Pass users will also miss out on the additional features of the SurfCast app.

  • I have a handicap tag or sticker. Do I need to pay for parking?

    Vehicles in a handicapped parking spot with an approved Handicap Tag or Handicap Sticker can park for free. If the car is parked outside the designated handicapped spot, it is treated as a traditional vehicle and must pay for parking.

  • How do I find out if qualify for a discount for paid parking?

    Some towns have implemented discounts for paid parking. If you are headed to or live in a town with SurfCast, you may be eligible for a discount toward paid parking. To find the rules for your town, click the “Learn More” button below and select the town.
